Phelps Memorial Hospital Appoints Two New Board Members

SLEEPY HOLLOW, New York – Louis G. Poulin and Richard J. Sinni, both of Irvington, were recently elected to the Board of Directors of Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, a 235-bed community hospital in Sleepy Hollow.
Louis G. Poulin has more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, business development and executive marketing, training and recruitment. He held a series of positions with UBS Financial Services, including his most recent as managing director of the Manhattan branch for the past 12 years. Under his leadership this branch, one of the largest in the firm, ranked among the top four performers out of more than 400 in the country. He also served as managing director at UBS branches in Florida and Kentucky. Prior to joining UBS, Poulin held positions as financial advisor at The Pinnacle Group, E.F. Hutton and Greenshields, Inc. Poulin holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Laval University in Quebec City.
Richard J. Sinni has more than 25 years of healthcare, benefits and human resources consulting experience, including leadership positions at Watson Wyatt, Aon, Buck Consultants and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Additionally, Sinni has 10 years experience as a hospital administrator with major teaching hospitals in New York City. He is the founder and president of Veras Management LLC, dba the The Veras Group, a consulting firm that focuses on providing healthcare benefits strategy and human resources support services to employers and healthcare organizations.
Sinni has been interviewed on television numerous times regarding healthcare issues and has been frequently quoted by trade journals and newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He has also served on advisory boards of major pharmaceutical firms. A graduate of St. Louis University, Sinni holds a masters degree in healthcare services from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
