SLEEPY HOLLOW, New York – The public is invited to attend a Maternity Open House at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center on Saturday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will learn about the variety of childbirth options and obstetrical services available at the hospital. Tours of the maternity unit will be given and visitors will have the opportunity to meet with Phelps obstetricians, midwives, nursing staff and childbirth educators.
Phelps offers a family-centered approach to childbirth, both during pregnancy and after birth. The Birthing Center features state-of-the-art birthing rooms, some with tubs, and an array of options for relaxation and labor pain management, including acupuncture. The hospital also offers lactation support services and a wide selection of educational programs for the childbirth years.
Phelps Hospital, which has a very active midwife program, has among the lowest rates for Cesarean section deliveries in Westchester.
